Using standard, wireless LAN PCMCIA format cards, end users no longer have to
deal with the hassles of re-configuring and re-cabling their network printers
when moving a production line. Our wireless networking option enables customers
to move their tabletop bar code printers to virtually any location in the
facility-without downtime.
Plug-and-play simplicity The ZebraNet Wireless Card Socket is the industry's
first internal wireless option for tabletop bar code printers. Available on
Zebra's XiII, XiIII Series, XiIIIPlus, 105SL
printers and the R-140 RFID printer/encoder, it features:
- Internal integration, eliminating the need for a bulky wireless bridge and
external power supply.
- Simple configuration and ease of use on 802.11b or Symbol® Spectrum24TM
wireless Ethernet networks.
- Initial compatibility with six PCMCIA format card-based radios from major
manufacturers like Lucent Technologies, Symbol Technologies, and Cisco
Systems.
- Flexibility to change wireless network cards as company networks evolve.
- Provides 64 to 128 bit HEX WEP
support for security
The ZebraNet Utilities: Wireless View is also included, which features
Auto Discovery. This automates setup from a PC computer running Windows by
locating and configuring new printers on the wireless network.
ZebraLink Compatibilty - Wirelessly! Using the ZebraNet PrintServer
II with the ZebraNet Wireless Card Socket enables the Alert and WebView
features of the ZebraLink solution. When a ZebraLink-enabled printer is
equipped with the ZebraNet PrintServer II and the ZebraNet Wireless Card
Socket, Alert and WebView features are immediately activated. Alert provides
printers with the capability to provide real-time, remote status
notification and WebView facilitates web-based printer management using easy
to use internet applications like Microsoft® Internet Explorer™ and
Netscape Navigator™. When you want to get connected, choose the only print
server to display the ZebraLink compatible logo.
