LLM-WIN32 delivers a sophisticated, yet easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI) for designing "out of the box" labeling systems with no programming required! Loftware's native printer drivers are designed specifically for each individual printer in order to take advantage of the printers internal features as well as to maximize performance. LLM-WIN32 includes four powerful design and printing modules plus an ActiveX control designed to help you get your labeling system up and running quickly. These modules along with the control are explained below. Label Design Mode: Easily design a label format using the intuitive Label Design Mode. Place and size barcodes, text, line, box and graphic fields onto the designer screen. Select one field or a group of fields on your label and instantly view and/or change field properties. Dynamically select and edit Native and True Type fonts, barcode symbologies, densities, ratios, and specialized check digits. Quickly and easily define field names, input prompts, operator instructions, help text, non-printing fields, and field positions. Directly assign variable field data sources with a double click of the mouse. Create and edit multiple types of Data sources, for example: Serial Number, Database-Key, Database-Data, Date/Time, Formula, Keyboard, and a wide variety of others.

The New Printer Configuration Wizard in Version 7x - Configuring printers has never been easier than it is in Loftware Version 7x. There are two fast methods available, the Printer Configuration Wizard, or the Printer Configuration Grid. Either way you go, your target printer is set up in seconds. Choose your printer "family" (manufacturer), the model, and the type of connection you are using (i.e., TCP/IP) and away you go!

Need to print a label in Chinese?

The New Language Properties Wizard in Version 7x allows the printing of any Language - If you do not have a printer that is capable of printing double-byte fonts such as Korean, Japanese, or other Asian Languages, they can still be sent to your printer as a bitmap...AND, the big news is, you can have as many languages as you want all on the same label, because you can now create a foreign language field on your label individually. Of course, if you have a printer that supports double-byte fonts, you may utilize them natively in Loftware.

Support for Terminal Server and Citrix Metaframe: Design label formats across LAN/WAN and Internet networks operating in NT 4.0 Terminal Server, Windows 2000 Server with Terminal Server and Citrix Metaframe environments. One concurrent User Llicense comes standard with each edition permitting the sharing of up to 4 network attached barcode or Windows printers.

*Terminal Server User Seats refers to the number of individual users that may be logged onto a Windows Terminal Server or Citrix Metaframe environment. Terminal Server Seats are based on concurrency; if one user logs out, that license becomes available to another user. User seats for additional print stations are easily added by specifying part number 04225732-AUS and quantity.

Print On-Demand Fast!

On-Demand Print Module: A customizable operator data entry screen is automatically created while you design your label. This form becomes the data entry screen for all "On-Demand" printing tasks. To print labels, simply click on the On-Demand Printing icon, open a label form and fill in the variable fields from the keyboard or retrieve your data directly from your database. Print labels to local printers or printers on your network. The On-Demand Print Client has the advantage of being "thin". It is not necessary to install software or configure printers on each individual workstation to perform printing tasks. Thin printing clients lower the labor costs associated with administrative and maintenance of individual desktop PCs. Databases, label formats and other vital information is centrally maintained.

Easily integrate Loftware with your applications!

ActiveX 32-Bit Programming Control: Programmers developing in 32-bit languages supporting ActiveX Controls can easily interface Loftware's bar code printing modules directly into their own applications. The Loftware ActiveX System control diminishes the level of knowledge and expertise required to connect and print to stand-alone and networked bar code label printers. 32-bit development languages, such as Visual Basic, Delphi, Access, Power Builder, Visual C++, etc. can utilize the power of the ActiveX System Control. Unlike the Loftware Client Control, which is used as an interface to the Loftware Print Server (LPS) product, the System Control described here, requires that the Loftware Subsystem be installed. In other words, the control that comes with Loftware Label Manager has a large footprint, while the LPS Client Control is "thin". Refer to our LPS product if you are interested in client/server technology where the control has a "thin" footprint.

Note: Loftware has two ActiveX Controls, The "System Control" and the "Client Control". The System Control comes standard with the LLM-WIN32 product. The Client Control comes with the LPS product and is used in conjunction with the Lofware Print Server. Easily access the Loftware Print Engine from your own applications.

Query Assistant lets you specify your range of labels..

The Range Print Module allows a range of labels to be printed from any ODBC32-compliant database using a pre-defined, or dynamic SQL query. Ranges can also be specified by using the "Query Assistant" which can eliminate the need to know SQL.

Batch Print allows the processing of ASCII batch files created from a PC or host computer. Print one label, or a group of labels to a single or group of printers on a network. Batch Print can also access ODBC32 data sources either exclusively or mixed in with data provided in the file.
